For the Compro U80, devices have been found with rtl2831 and a QT1010 tuner chip. For Conceptronic the versions earlier than V3.0 of CTVDIGRCU used the Realtek RTL2831U. Later versions use a different encoder. Conceptronic USB2.0 DVB-T CTVDIGRCU V3.0 has an Afatech AF9015 on board. See the specific driver for those devices below. There is a problem with my PCI device drivers. The message on the properties page is 'The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.' I have tried Updating the drivers but it doesn't work. I am using Win7.

Generally, the DVB hardware manufacturers frequently change thefrontends (i.e. tuner / demodulator units) used, usually withoutchanging the product name, revision number or specs. Some cardsare also available in versions with different frontends forDVB-S/DVB-C/DVB-T. Thus the frontend drivers are listed separately.

Note

  1. There is no guarantee that every frontend driver worksout of the box with every card, because of different wiring.
  2. The demodulator chips can be used with a variety oftuner/PLL chips, and not all combinations are supported. Oftenthe demodulator and tuner/PLL chip are inside a metal box forshielding, and the whole metal box has its own part number.
